3000 Yonge Street (Park Terrace)

3000 Yonge has the opportunity to stand as a recycling leader for all of the City of Toronto. The property has benefited from enthusiastic participation from tenants as well as vigilant work on the part of the building staff.

Recycling is currently brought by tenants to bins located at the South and North exits of the building. These areas have an extra bin marked clearly for batteries and household hazardous waste.

Because the City of Toronto will not pick up large garbage bins at this location, there can be no access to garbage chutes at this property. Therefore, garbage is put in bins on each floor and collected daily by building staff.

There are recycling bins in the laundry and mail rooms. We ask that these bins be used only for recycled goods from these rooms, and not as a place to deposit recycled goods from tenants’ suites. These bins will decrease our garbage output by ensuring that all junk mail goes into the recycling stream, as well as any cardboard boxes used for laundry detergent etc….
